Aracely's Baptism!! (May 20, 2024)

Hey everyone!! I hope you all had a great week and that you're all getting ready for summer! I wanna give a quick shout out to Mylie for winning state all 4 years of high school in pole vault!! That's awesome!

This was another really fast week and everything was really normal. We did a lot of work with our people in teaching and members. I've been here in San Javier for a long time now and know just about everyone from here and have been able to build some really special relationships. It's a lot of fun serving here right now!

A huge highlight from this week is that our friend Aracely got baptized! We contacted her mom in the street a while ago and invited her to church the next day, she was sad she couldn't come but said that her daughter would be able to and the next day she showed up! We then started teaching her and she's been coming to church every week and has progressed a ton spiritually! It was a great baptism, now we just need to get her mom baptized!

A quick spiritual thought from studies this week is from 3 Nephi 22, which is also Isaiah 54. In verses 9 and 10 it says. "...for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee. For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but my kindness shall not depart from thee." These verses really stuck out to me, that the Lord has sworn to us that he will never get angry with us. He loves us and he is patient with us even though we're imperfect. He has all of his faith and confidence in us that we will be able to achieve our potential. I love learning about our loving father in heaven and doing my best to share his love with others every day.

I hope that you all have a great week and that you can all see the Lord's hands in your lives daily. I love you all!

Elder Micheli
