1 Month Down! (July 27, 2022)

We’re just living the dream here in Mexico. Living the dream by getting up at 6:30 every morning, getting ready and straight to breakfast by 7:15, then class from 8:00 until lunch at 12:20. Then we get some gym time, then get ready again and have study time, then class, dinner, more class until 9:00 and back to the house and stuff until 10:30 when we get lights out. Day in and day out, that sounds miserable but I think it’s just great. Working hard with all my awesome new friends is great, we sure get after it and work hard, but we know how to have a lot of fun so I’m just loving it. 

Food is still just great and I’m keeping up the big eating but the weight gaining has been continuing because of… yeah the cursed diarrhea from this place. I thought it was a myth but like always, I’m wrong lol. We’ve been playing a lot of basketball so that’s been great. Also, I have to hit up the tienda every day to get myself a Dr. Pepper Creme Soda, that stuff is fire! This place is so sweet and it’s so depressing I’ll never get to have this experience again. I got my flight plans last night and it's getting close for me to leave. I’ll fly out August 8 at 9:25 and land on August 9 at 6:35. That's gonna suck… but whateva I’m goin to CHILE!!


I’ll throw in a spiritual thought for y’all, Alma 37:36 says, “Yeah, and cry unto god for all thy support; yea, let all thy doings be unto the lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the lord; yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the lord forever.” This scripture gives us such good direction to allow God to prevail in our lives. I’m serving my mission and the time I have here is the Lord’s time. I am living on his time so I need to allow him to prevail in my life, and I think we can all allow God to prevail in our lives more than we do and accept the lord’s timing.

Good morning everyone! I hope you've all had a great week, my week was awesome down here in Chile! I'm definitely missing March Madness and the start of track season, but there's nothing I'd rather miss it for than being here in the mission helping the people and making memories!  Things are going very well right now in San Javier, and I'm so happy to be serving here! Transfer news came this week and Elder Biggs got separated, we had an awesome 2 transfers together, made a ton of awesome memories and were able to help a lot of people! I'll miss him a lot, but he's got a bright mission ahead of him and a lot of bigger and better things coming his way! So my news is that I'm going to train for my last 2 transfers here and stay in San Javier. I love this area and I'm very excited to end my mission here! Joy in Service (Feb. 26, 2024)

Hey everyone I'm back after another quick week of hard work! This week flew by and it was a lot of fun! My favorite highlights from the week were the service that we got to do for some members. Our lunch on Thursday was with a family out in the country and they have a little ranch with cows and everything and I was so happy to be there. I never thought that I could be so happy to smell cow poop and move hay bales but I sure was. It made me pretty trunky honestly haha. Our other service was on Saturday and it was with some other members that live out in the country as well and we got to cut down a bunch of weeds and grass with a scythe and I loved it!  I love the joy that we feel as we serve other people! Serving without expecting anything in return, just helping someone because you love them and they need help, it's the best feeling! Weekly (Mar. 4, 2024)

Hey everyone, I really haven't had time to write today and sorry this email is going to be really short, but I'm keeping at my goal and I'm not missing any more weekly emails. This week I had an exchange with Elder Calizaya and it was a lot of fun, he's about to finish his mission and he really helped me see how to have a positive attitude until the end of the mission! We did some fun service stacking hay on Saturday, I was so happy throwing those haybales haha. We had some friends come to church and they're really excited to get baptized here in a few weeks!
