Growing Daily (Oct. 10, 2022)

Hey everyone, I'd love to hear how you're all doing back at home, and as for me here in Chile, I'm doing pretty darn good. This week was a good one in the work. I had an exchange with Elder Soarez and it was really good. It was a great chance for me to plan and lead the area. Spanish has really been a struggle, but I am starting to realize that I can just start speaking to anyone and have a conversation, it's so cool. I don't understand everything perfectly and I don't say everything perfectly, but I can do it, and it feels good. It's crazy that I have been in Chile for 2 months now, I'm realizing more and more every day that before I know it I'll be going home and the mission will just be over, I really just want to keep enjoying the time out here. The honest truth is that I am just learning to love the mission.

So the work that we've been doing has been a lot with members, especially inactives. We've been working to get a lot back to church and gain testimonies especially of the book of mormon. I do want to share about one awesome family in particular. Andres is a guy who served a mission and is incredible, he was even a Bishop back in his twenties, but some stuff went down with him and the church and he has been inactive for years and years. We have been working with him and his wife and especially their 8 year old grandson who they have adopted legally. We have taught all the lessons to the grandson Agustin and his baptism is this Saturday and I am so excited. This is just 1 family that we've been able to reactivate and there are others, so technically we don't get a baptism number for this because both the parents are members and he's 8, but truthfully, getting this family back in the church has been more incredible than a single baptism. The work here with the members is really strengthening the church and I am really seeing and feeling true success through it.

Sorry that was kinda a lot, but that's just kinda the type of work that we're doing and some success I've been finding down here in Chile. If I could invite any of you to do anything it would just be to read the book of Mormon every day and watch your life change for the better. It is the truth and God will bless you for turning time to him. That's all I've really got to share this week, but I would love to get emails or messages from you guys anytime, I love you all.

Elder Micheli
