Less Than a Week from Chile (Aug. 3, 2022)

I think it's like week 5 or something like that but I'm not even keeping track anymore. I'm just going day by day and focusing on getting through each day and doing my best and the time has just been flying by. The weeks that I have been here have just been a blur. I got off that bus in here and was a new greenie but now my group has been here the longest out of all the missionaries. So so crazy to think about. There's all these brand new missionaries and I'm the seasoned vet. I am very excited to just go to Chile now. It's all right there and so close so I'm just ready to see what it is really going to be like. My language is improving for sure but I am nowhere near where I need to be, looks like I'll be doing a whole lotta learning in Chile, but eh that's exactly what I expected. We're going to the temple here in less than an hour so I'm just knocking this email out now. Just so you guys know, the next email you receive from me, I will be in Chile!!

Spiritual thought is one of my favorite scriptures from the BOM, Mosiah 5:8-9 says, "And under this head ye are made free, and there is no other head whereby ye can be made free. There is no other name given whereby salvation cometh; therefore, I would that ye should take upon you the name of Christ, all you that have entered into the covenant with God that ye should be obedient unto the end of your lives. And it shall come to pass that whosoever doeth this shall be found at the right hand of God, for he shall know the name by which he is called; for he shall be called by the name of Christ." I know that is a little long but I really like the scripture! I love learning about the significance of being on the right hand of god. We can be on his right hand by being obedient to his laws and obtaining salvation through his son Jesus Christ who has stood at the right hand of God in many circumstances, including the first vision.

To close this off, since no one replies or anything, just know that if you ever want to send me something that would mean a lot orrrrr send something with me to help me remember you, I don't need you to write me, but if y'all sent me some ties, I would be forever grateful. Good morning everyone! I hope you've all had a great week, my week was awesome down here in Chile! I'm definitely missing March Madness and the start of track season, but there's nothing I'd rather miss it for than being here in the mission helping the people and making memories!  Things are going very well right now in San Javier, and I'm so happy to be serving here! Transfer news came this week and Elder Biggs got separated, we had an awesome 2 transfers together, made a ton of awesome memories and were able to help a lot of people! I'll miss him a lot, but he's got a bright mission ahead of him and a lot of bigger and better things coming his way! So my news is that I'm going to train for my last 2 transfers here and stay in San Javier. I love this area and I'm very excited to end my mission here! Joy in Service (Feb. 26, 2024)

Hey everyone I'm back after another quick week of hard work! This week flew by and it was a lot of fun! My favorite highlights from the week were the service that we got to do for some members. Our lunch on Thursday was with a family out in the country and they have a little ranch with cows and everything and I was so happy to be there. I never thought that I could be so happy to smell cow poop and move hay bales but I sure was. It made me pretty trunky honestly haha. Our other service was on Saturday and it was with some other members that live out in the country as well and we got to cut down a bunch of weeds and grass with a scythe and I loved it!  I love the joy that we feel as we serve other people! Serving without expecting anything in return, just helping someone because you love them and they need help, it's the best feeling! Weekly (Mar. 4, 2024)

Hey everyone, I really haven't had time to write today and sorry this email is going to be really short, but I'm keeping at my goal and I'm not missing any more weekly emails. This week I had an exchange with Elder Calizaya and it was a lot of fun, he's about to finish his mission and he really helped me see how to have a positive attitude until the end of the mission! We did some fun service stacking hay on Saturday, I was so happy throwing those haybales haha. We had some friends come to church and they're really excited to get baptized here in a few weeks!
