Hello everybody! I hope you all had a fantastic week just like I did! This week flew by so fast and I really just enjoyed all of it honestly! This week I developed my first addiction in Chile and it's with mate haha. I had it for the first time on Monday and I hated it, couldn't even hardly drink it lol, then Tuesday it was a little better, and since then I've been obsessed hahah. I got me some honey flavor and mint and today I'm gonna buy some fruit flavor. Anyways there's an update so all you guys know soy un Chilanopo. As for more that happened in the week, the AP's came and did exchanges with the ZL's Friday, so we had them in the house and it was a ton of fun. We built a campfire in the backyard and had a ton of hotdogs, it was sweet!! Yesterday we had an asado at some members house and it was soooo good, just check out the picture for it haha. Today we have a zone activity here in San Fernando so I'm way excited about that. That's also why I'm sending this email early haha. We're doing a ton of work with members and inactives, that's like pretty much all we're supposed to do. It's absolutely the work that needs to be done tho!
The message I've been learning and want to share is about sacrifice. "Sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven!" That's the truth! And who doesn't want blessings in their lives directly from heaven? I'm sure that we all do, but they don't just happen. So many inactive people we visit talk about all these problems they're having in their lives and they just don't know how to fix anything and our message is simple for them to receive these blessings. Pray, read the Book of Mormon, and go to church. These 3 small things sacrifice a very small amount of time compared to the rest of our lives, but the Lord loves sacrifice and by taking the time to do these 3 things, especially pray and read in the Scriptures daily, we will be blessed in our lives. We got a family to do all 3 of these things this week and after coming to church they told us how much of a change they have felt in their home, and that change is the spirit. By making these simple sacrifices we can have the spirit with us and that is a true blessing from heaven. So my invitation to everyone and especially to those who may be having some hard times right now, pray every day, read a little bit in the scriptures every day, and then attend church on Sunday, and with time and consistency you will receive the blessings of heaven.
Remember I love updates from all you guys at home, so feel free to let me know anytime how it's going. I miss you all and love you guys so much!!
Elder Micheli
