Transfers (Dec. 12, 2022)

Hey y'all, I hope everything is going great like always. I first wanna make sure and wish Mylie a happy birthday and let her and all of you guys know that she's pretty cool and you should wish her a happy birthday haha.

We had a pretty dang good week here! I love this branch and this area, it's seriously the best! I'm glad that I will get to stay here, but my best friend Elder Holman is getting to transferred to Curico. It's so sad to think that I'm not going to be working with him anymore, but we've got new opportunities coming for us. I still don't know who my new comp will be because I'm gonna be training, so tomorrow I have to go up to Rancagua and get whoever my new comp is on his first day and bring him down to this little town and get to work. I'm way excited for this opportunity to train, but I am just a little nervous haha. I'm pretty dang new and my spanish sure isn't perfect all the time, so if anyone has some tips for me going into training I would love to hear your wise words.

One of the highlights from this week was lighting the world with Samuel and Scarlet. They are recent converts and so awesome, they got the idea to make sandwiches and get juice boxes and go give them to people in the park and share scriptures from the Book of Mormon with them. It went so well, people were all so grateful for us and it was so amazing to see the light in these new converts searching for people and sharing the gospel with them. It was great and the spirit was so strong!

A scripture I want to share is one of my favorites. I have learned on the mission that the only way this great work is actually possible is through the power of God. The fact that we can get up and work all day everyday in a different language and me going and being a trainer now, we are not capable of doing it ourselves, but I know God is always with us. Alma 26:12 says, "Yea, I know that I am anothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will bnot boast of myself, but I will cboast of my God, for in his dstrength I can do all ethings; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever." I love this scripture and know that it is the truth, and that if we can be humble and trust in God, we can have confidence that he will help us in whatever it is that he asks us to do!

Remember I'd love to hear from y'all and I'd especially love to hear some wise words on training. I hope all is well and everyone is getting ready for Christmas!
