Chepica Baptism! (Apr. 10, 2023)

Hey everyone, I hope you all had a great Holy Week and Easter! It is the greatest holiday that we have! There is nothing better that we can remember than the last days of Christ's life!

This was a huge week for Chepica!! We had a family home evening with as many people as we could get at Ines's house and President and Hermana Doxey came! We taught an awesome lesson about the gospel of Jesus Christ and used fire and all that! Easily my favorite lesson I've ever taught in the mission! We had a ton of food and it was just such a great night!

We also had a baptism on Saturday! We baptized Jose and it was a great experience to help him get baptized. He had been investigating the church for a long time, but never wanted to get baptized until after General Conference, he felt something really special and knew this is what he needed, and we got it done! It was such a good feeling to get a baptism here after all the work we've been putting in, sometimes it feels like we work aimlessly but when we just keep moving forward, the blessings always come!

We focus on Easter because of the great gift Christ gives every one of us with his Atonement. He suffered, died, and was resurrected. He did it because he loves us so much and because he wants us all to have the opportunity to return to live with him and the Father again. The Atonement is for every single one of us, every person in the world! Not many are worthy to enter into God's Kingdom, but all are worthy of the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. He is the only way to salvation and he has offered it to every single one of us with his Atonement, NONE are excluded! I love my Savior Jesus Christ and I know that he lives!

I'd love to hear from everyone! I hope you're all grateful for how good the life is back at home because I seriously miss it sometimes! I hope you all have a great week!
