Another Baptism!! (May 1, 2023)

Everybody hope you all had a great week back at home, I can't believe it's already time for me to write another one of these letters, but here I am haha. This week was pretty interesting here. We had a lot of ups and downs had a lot of rejection, but we still found some success, which is awesome.

To start out the week, we went to San Fernando for Zone Conference and it was great. I really learned a lot and felt the spirit. After that, we got to do some exchanges and I was with Elder Barnes and he's pretty dope. We had a great time together and really got along well. The rest of the week we just stayed hard at work, always getting stuff done. The last couple days the rain finally came and it has been downpouring. It rained so much haha!

On Saturday, we had Wilgen's baptism, his dad, Wilky, is a member and he's from Haiti and Wilgens got here about a month ago, and we were able to get him on date and baptized. It was really great to see him learn and grow even though he only speaks Creol and we don't understand him. We were able to teach him through his father translating and it was a really great experience. The baptism was awesome.

My testimony of the Restoration has been strengthened a lot this week. We had the chance to teach the Restoration lesson a couple times and it was always so spiritual. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet called of god, he restored Christ's church back to its original form and he recieved the same priesthood authority that Jesus gave his apostles. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, that it came forth the way Joseph said it did, and it will forever be a statement that God loves all his children and has again restored the fullness of his gospel to the Earth, to never be taken away again. I know these things through the power of the Holy Ghost which has testified to me, I know it's true because of what I feel, and I can't ever deny it.

I love being a missionary, and it's crazy I'm a little over 10 months into it already, this has been an experience that's helping shape who I will be forever. It's not easy out here, but it's great out here! I'd love to hear from you all, and I'm always do happy when I do get some emails! I love you all and hope you have a great week!
