1st Baptism in Machali! (July 31, 2023)

Hey everyone!! I had another great week here on the mission! It's so crazy how fast time is flying by out here! Especially now being in an area where things are moving fast and we're doing lots of exchanges and have meetings, it's just flying!

This week we had exchanges with the AP's which was great, I got to be with Elder Cardus in Tupahue which is right in the middle of Rancagua, so it was cool to serve in the city, because I haven't ever in my entire mission. I enjoyed it a lot and learned a lot from him. That was a really fun night at their house because me, Elder Holman, and Elder Wendel all got to be together, so fun just like back in the MTC a year ago haha. Later in the week I had an exchange with Elder Byrd which was a great day, he is pretty new in the mission and it was a lot of fun to try and help him find stuff to do to help him be an effective missionary. We've got 2 more exchanges lined up for this week so I'm getting a lot of opportunities to know new missionaries which is awesome! I'm loving it!

On Saturday Kevyn got baptized! He is so awesome and was so prepared for the gospel! His parents work Sunday and can't come to church but that never stopped him from coming and getting to know everyone and wanting to be baptized! He is so great! He is 11 and will be able to be a deacon here next Sunday and I'm so excited and happy for him! We also have a Venezuelan family progressing well and they have baptismal dates for later in August, so We're pretty pumped about them, they just love having us over and listening to us! It's so great getting to meet all of the great people here, I'm loving the mission so much.

Something spiritual real short and simple is that God loves us all so much, and knows us individually, we are his children and he wants us to return to him more than anything else. We are his hands here in the Earth, and if we have and follow his spirit we can do what he would do if he were here!

Good morning everyone! I hope you've all had a great week, my week was awesome down here in Chile! I'm definitely missing March Madness and the start of track season, but there's nothing I'd rather miss it for than being here in the mission helping the people and making memories!  Things are going very well right now in San Javier, and I'm so happy to be serving here! Transfer news came this week and Elder Biggs got separated, we had an awesome 2 transfers together, made a ton of awesome memories and were able to help a lot of people! I'll miss him a lot, but he's got a bright mission ahead of him and a lot of bigger and better things coming his way! So my news is that I'm going to train for my last 2 transfers here and stay in San Javier. I love this area and I'm very excited to end my mission here! Joy in Service (Feb. 26, 2024)

Hey everyone I'm back after another quick week of hard work! This week flew by and it was a lot of fun! My favorite highlights from the week were the service that we got to do for some members. Our lunch on Thursday was with a family out in the country and they have a little ranch with cows and everything and I was so happy to be there. I never thought that I could be so happy to smell cow poop and move hay bales but I sure was. It made me pretty trunky honestly haha. Our other service was on Saturday and it was with some other members that live out in the country as well and we got to cut down a bunch of weeds and grass with a scythe and I loved it!  I love the joy that we feel as we serve other people! Serving without expecting anything in return, just helping someone because you love them and they need help, it's the best feeling! Weekly (Mar. 4, 2024)

Hey everyone, I really haven't had time to write today and sorry this email is going to be really short, but I'm keeping at my goal and I'm not missing any more weekly emails. This week I had an exchange with Elder Calizaya and it was a lot of fun, he's about to finish his mission and he really helped me see how to have a positive attitude until the end of the mission! We did some fun service stacking hay on Saturday, I was so happy throwing those haybales haha. We had some friends come to church and they're really excited to get baptized here in a few weeks!
