Another Week, Another Transfer, Another Conference (Oct. 2, 2023)

Hey everyone!! I hope you're all doing so good and that you all enjoyed General Conference! I loved it!! There were some really powerful talks and some great guidance for us! Anyways I'll talk a little more about Conference later in the email.

This week was pretty crazy for us. So about 2 weeks ago we got put in a trio with Elder Kelley and it was really awesome, we were working really well! He came to be with us because he has had foot problems and had to be in a bike area. Sadly his foot wasn't healing like we were hoping and this last week he had to go home. Losing him was super sad, we're missing him a lot! Remember to pray for Elder Kelley so he can heal up quick and get back out here! Some other stuff from this week are that we had leadership council, and we had a zone council. They were really good, I always love learning about how to become a better missionary! What was hard about this week is we were sick, so with Elder Kelley's foot and me and Elder Aravena being sick we could hardly work, and that's a miserable feeling as a missionary. Being stuck inside is no fun. One highlight however from the week is I got to go to Cachopoal in an exchange and teach an awesome family and get them on date for baptism!! Is was so powerful and such a miracle! One of the greatest lessons from my whole mission!

Like I said I loved Conference and I learned so much! It's hard to really put into words all the great things the spirit was teaching me throughout the Conference and ways I can apply the teachings in my life. I loved the the theme of "Think Celestial." We literally determine our own destiny, so we need to understand that our choices really are important. In order to make good choices we need the influence of the spirit, and that's why our covenants are so critical, they allow us to have heavenly power to make good decisions, guided by the spirit, that will determine our destiny. I also loved the talk from Elder Uchtdorf about the Prodigul's son, and that when we go astray and make the decision to come back, Christ will run to us and gladly welcome us back to him. There were so many other great things I loved from Conference, but the overall most important thing I took away from the Conference was a stronger testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ. I know he loves me and has to power to heal all my wounds and imperfections. I'm grateful I have this knowledge, I'm grateful God blesses us so greatly with messengers to give us his word and that he gives us his spirit to testify of it to us. I love this gospel and know that it's true!!

I'm having a great time out here in the mission and I can't believe how fast it's going! Also we have transfers again this week and Elder Aravena is going home so I'll be having a new companion again! I'll get y'all updated on that next week! I love and miss you all so much!!

Elder Micheli
