Machali! (July 17, 2023)

Hey everyone!! How are things going?? This week was pretty crazy honestly! On a sad note I had to say goodbye to everyone in Chepica after serving there for a little over 4 months, my time there changed my mission and my life big time! Saying goodbye to Ines and her family was incredibly hard, but they promised to come see me for my birthday and when I go home so I wasn't horribly sad. The transfer news however is crazy!! I'm back with Elder Holman and we're in an awesome area called Machali! I seriously can't believe I get to return to the same companion for the second time now! It's still hard to come to terms with the fact that Elder Holman really is my comp, but we've just hit the ground running and we're working our butts off and have had some incredible miracles already!!

I feel so incredibly blessed in this area. It's right outside Rancagua up next to the mountains and it's gorgeous, it's also very rich! Our house is super nice and the area is incredible. The ward has like over 150 active members and will get attendances up to 200 people which is unbelievable. All the members love the missionaries and help a ton in the work, and they feed us a ton of food! I've served in branches my entire mission so this is a pretty big adjustment, but I'm sure excited for it! We're teaching a kid named Kevyn that's on date to be baptized next week on Saturday and another family of 4 that we found and they're great! And lots of other people with a lot of people to progress and get baptized! I'm way excited to be here and be in this zone with lots of new missionaries that I haven't ever served with! 

Sé que Jesús es el Cristo, que él nos ama mucho, que él vino al mundo con un propósito, y este propósito es para que cada uno de nosotros podríamos tener la oportunidad para volver a vivir con nuestro padre celestial! Amo el evangelio y el salvador! Estoy tan agradecido cada día que puedo ser un misionero del Señor!

Good morning everyone! I hope you've all had a great week, my week was awesome down here in Chile! I'm definitely missing March Madness and the start of track season, but there's nothing I'd rather miss it for than being here in the mission helping the people and making memories!  Things are going very well right now in San Javier, and I'm so happy to be serving here! Transfer news came this week and Elder Biggs got separated, we had an awesome 2 transfers together, made a ton of awesome memories and were able to help a lot of people! I'll miss him a lot, but he's got a bright mission ahead of him and a lot of bigger and better things coming his way! So my news is that I'm going to train for my last 2 transfers here and stay in San Javier. I love this area and I'm very excited to end my mission here! Joy in Service (Feb. 26, 2024)

Hey everyone I'm back after another quick week of hard work! This week flew by and it was a lot of fun! My favorite highlights from the week were the service that we got to do for some members. Our lunch on Thursday was with a family out in the country and they have a little ranch with cows and everything and I was so happy to be there. I never thought that I could be so happy to smell cow poop and move hay bales but I sure was. It made me pretty trunky honestly haha. Our other service was on Saturday and it was with some other members that live out in the country as well and we got to cut down a bunch of weeds and grass with a scythe and I loved it!  I love the joy that we feel as we serve other people! Serving without expecting anything in return, just helping someone because you love them and they need help, it's the best feeling! Weekly (Mar. 4, 2024)

Hey everyone, I really haven't had time to write today and sorry this email is going to be really short, but I'm keeping at my goal and I'm not missing any more weekly emails. This week I had an exchange with Elder Calizaya and it was a lot of fun, he's about to finish his mission and he really helped me see how to have a positive attitude until the end of the mission! We did some fun service stacking hay on Saturday, I was so happy throwing those haybales haha. We had some friends come to church and they're really excited to get baptized here in a few weeks!
