Serving the Lord (Sept. 4, 2023)

Hey guys! Sorry I havent been having very much to say in emails lately. Although I haven't written much, there's been some great stuff going on!

Me and Elder Aravena are having a great time here in Machali, we're working hard, seeing success, and getting rejected a lot! To find some new people this week we went way up in the hills to find some more humble people that would listen to us and it was really cool. It was really pretty and we could find some great people!

This week I made a special focus to testify of Jesus Christ in every lesson and every contact possible and it was powerful! Jesus is the Christ and the only Savior of the world, he is the only one that has the power to save us. The invitation to all of us is, "come unto Christ, and be perfected in him" (Moroni 10:32). Us as missionaries don't have the power to change people, our purpose isn't to convince people to change, or to prove them the church is right, our purpose is to invite them to come unto Christ so that they can be perfected in him. The only way we can come unto Christ is humble ourselves unto repentance, and baptism by water and fire to make covenants and each day be perfected in Christ. I'm very far from perfect, but I have to opportunity to testify of the power of Jesus Christ and that he is the Savior of us all. I know the power of his atonement is real, he lives, and he invited us all unto him with open arms. This is his church and his work! 

The mission is great and I learning so much! I'd love to hear from you guys because I miss you all a ton!

Good morning everyone! I hope you've all had a great week, my week was awesome down here in Chile! I'm definitely missing March Madness and the start of track season, but there's nothing I'd rather miss it for than being here in the mission helping the people and making memories!  Things are going very well right now in San Javier, and I'm so happy to be serving here! Transfer news came this week and Elder Biggs got separated, we had an awesome 2 transfers together, made a ton of awesome memories and were able to help a lot of people! I'll miss him a lot, but he's got a bright mission ahead of him and a lot of bigger and better things coming his way! So my news is that I'm going to train for my last 2 transfers here and stay in San Javier. I love this area and I'm very excited to end my mission here! Joy in Service (Feb. 26, 2024)

Hey everyone I'm back after another quick week of hard work! This week flew by and it was a lot of fun! My favorite highlights from the week were the service that we got to do for some members. Our lunch on Thursday was with a family out in the country and they have a little ranch with cows and everything and I was so happy to be there. I never thought that I could be so happy to smell cow poop and move hay bales but I sure was. It made me pretty trunky honestly haha. Our other service was on Saturday and it was with some other members that live out in the country as well and we got to cut down a bunch of weeds and grass with a scythe and I loved it!  I love the joy that we feel as we serve other people! Serving without expecting anything in return, just helping someone because you love them and they need help, it's the best feeling! Weekly (Mar. 4, 2024)

Hey everyone, I really haven't had time to write today and sorry this email is going to be really short, but I'm keeping at my goal and I'm not missing any more weekly emails. This week I had an exchange with Elder Calizaya and it was a lot of fun, he's about to finish his mission and he really helped me see how to have a positive attitude until the end of the mission! We did some fun service stacking hay on Saturday, I was so happy throwing those haybales haha. We had some friends come to church and they're really excited to get baptized here in a few weeks!
