Zone and Stake Conferences!! (May 13, 2024)

Hey everyone I'm back! Today marks exactly 1 month left in my mission, so it's really time to go all out! I'm really excited for these next 4 weeks!!

This week was really special! I had my last Zone Conference in the mission on Friday. It was really crazy to give my last testimony and everything.. but it was a cool experience! We had a visit from Elder Walker from the 70 and he was great! It was one of my favorite zone conferences of my mission! I had to say goodbye to some really amazing friends and that was tough, but it's all part of the mission.

On Sunday we all went to Talca for Stake Conference and it was amazing. We loaded a bus in San Javier and many more went in their own vehicles. There were 70 of us from San Javier there which was amazing! After the conference our friend Aracely passed her baptismal interview and she'll be getting baptized this week! Super stoked for her! This week we also got some more friends on date and had another friend come to church for the first time going to stake conference. There were some amazing talks at stake conference, the Concepcion Temple President and his wife, Elder Walker from the area presidency, and Elder Bravo who is an area 70 were all there! The stake center was also completely full which was so cool! Talca is about to be 2 stakes and it's cool to see how excited the members are to make it happen!

My spiritual thought this week is to think celestial. Think about what really matters to us. Jesus taught that "where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." (3 Nephi 13:21). If our truest desire is the kingdom of God our heart will be changed to make the choices now that will prepare us for eternal life. This means we need to prioritize the spiritual things over the temporal things in this life.

I love being a missionary and I'm so grateful for these next few weeks that I get to keep preaching the gospel here in Chile! I hope you all have a great week! Love y'all!

Good morning everyone! I hope you've all had a great week, my week was awesome down here in Chile! I'm definitely missing March Madness and the start of track season, but there's nothing I'd rather miss it for than being here in the mission helping the people and making memories!  Things are going very well right now in San Javier, and I'm so happy to be serving here! Transfer news came this week and Elder Biggs got separated, we had an awesome 2 transfers together, made a ton of awesome memories and were able to help a lot of people! I'll miss him a lot, but he's got a bright mission ahead of him and a lot of bigger and better things coming his way! So my news is that I'm going to train for my last 2 transfers here and stay in San Javier. I love this area and I'm very excited to end my mission here! Joy in Service (Feb. 26, 2024)

Hey everyone I'm back after another quick week of hard work! This week flew by and it was a lot of fun! My favorite highlights from the week were the service that we got to do for some members. Our lunch on Thursday was with a family out in the country and they have a little ranch with cows and everything and I was so happy to be there. I never thought that I could be so happy to smell cow poop and move hay bales but I sure was. It made me pretty trunky honestly haha. Our other service was on Saturday and it was with some other members that live out in the country as well and we got to cut down a bunch of weeds and grass with a scythe and I loved it!  I love the joy that we feel as we serve other people! Serving without expecting anything in return, just helping someone because you love them and they need help, it's the best feeling! Weekly (Mar. 4, 2024)

Hey everyone, I really haven't had time to write today and sorry this email is going to be really short, but I'm keeping at my goal and I'm not missing any more weekly emails. This week I had an exchange with Elder Calizaya and it was a lot of fun, he's about to finish his mission and he really helped me see how to have a positive attitude until the end of the mission! We did some fun service stacking hay on Saturday, I was so happy throwing those haybales haha. We had some friends come to church and they're really excited to get baptized here in a few weeks!
