Aracely's Baptism!! (May 20, 2024)

Image
Hey everyone!! I hope you all had a great week and that you're all getting ready for summer! I wanna give a quick shout out to Mylie for winning state all 4 years of high school in pole vault!! That's awesome! This was another really fast week and everything was really normal. We did a lot of work with our people in teaching and members. I've been here in San Javier for a long time now and know just about everyone from here and have been able to build some really special relationships. It's a lot of fun se rving here right now! A huge highlight from this week is that our friend Aracely got baptized! We contacted her mom in the street a while ago and invited her to church the next day, she was sad she couldn't come but said that her daughter would be able to and the next day she showed up! We then started teaching her and she's been coming to church every week and has progressed a ton spiritually! It was a great baptism, now we just need to get her mom baptized! ...

Zone and Stake Conferences!! (May 13, 2024)

Hey everyone I'm back! Today marks exactly 1 month left in my mission, so it's really time to go all out! I'm really excited for these next 4 weeks!! This week was really special! I had my last Zone Conference in the mission on Friday. It was really crazy to give my last testimony and everything.. but it was a cool experience! We had a visit from Elder Walker from the 70 and he was great! It was one of my favorite zone conferences of my mission! I had to say goodbye to some really amazing friends and that was tough, but it's all part of the mission. On Sunday we all went to Talca for Stake Conference and it was amazing. We loaded a bus in San Javier and many more went in their own vehicles. There were 70 of us from San Javier there which was amazing! After the conference our friend Aracely passed her baptismal interview and she'll be getting baptized this week! Super stoked for her! This week we also got some more friends on date and had another friend come to churc...

Disfrutando Chile (May 6, 2024)

Hola mi gente!! I had another great week here! It's crazy to think that I'll be seeing you all here next month! It's coming up really fast! With time running out I have a lot of mixed emotions, I'm obviously really excited to be home and see everyone, it's gonna be so awesome! However, I am pretty sad about having to leave Chile and the mission.  I have grown to love Chile so much, the people and the culture, just all of it, I love trying to be a little more Chilean every day. I'm really trying to enjoy every last moment I have here, trying to eat all the completos and sopapillas possible, and just enjoying the experience of being in Chile. I'm also really trying to soak in every moment of missionary work that I'm doing. Teaching and testifying of Jesus Christ and his restored gospel is seriously so awesome! I genuinely love doing it! I love seeing how the spirit of the Lord touches the hearts of people and helps them change in order to accept Christ in ...

Last Transfer! (Apr. 29, 2024)

Hey everyone I'm back! Another week has FLOWN by!! This week was a lot of fun and I was able to make a lot of great memories!  This week I had a great exchange in Constitución with Elder Kosorok! We've been together for pretty much our entire missions and we had a blast! We were able to apply everything that we've learned and just work, we found a lot of very good people and saw some amazing miracles! I learned a ton from Elder Kosorok's diligence and ability to connect with people. We took a train on the way back and it was really pretty, it went alongside a river through the forest, awesome experience!! As for the work in San Javier, last week we dropped a lot of our people and were in need of a lot of new people so we worked hard in finding and were able to find a lot of people! God really blessed us in many ways this week! We also have a friend in teaching named Aracely who came to church for the 2nd time yesterday and she is on date and really excited to get baptiz...

Adiel's Baptism!! (Apr. 22, 2024)

Hey everyone! Another week has flown by in Chile! It's getting crazy how fast time is going by right now and sad because I'm trying to enjoy every last minute I have here! So this week was really good! I had an exchange with Elder Richey which was a ton of fun! He's a great friend and a really good missionary and I was able to learn a ton! The biggest highlight from this week was our friend Adiel got baptized! He has been taught by missionaries for about 4 years now and knew the church very well but never wanted to be baptized. He had so many doubts and questions and he finally just felt ready. It was really amazing to see how the spirit has worked on him over time to prepare him to make this decision. He's the first member in his entire family and has a really bright future in the gospel!  This week I had some really good studies about faith and why it's so important. All of our spiritual understanding begins with faith in Jesus Christ. We can exercise faith in eve...

Hey everyone, I'm back after another great week here in San Javier! This was a really fun week and was full of hard work! Lately it's been feeling like we have so much to do and so many people to see and there just isn't enough time to do it all. It's a good problem though haha! This week was just full of missionary work, helping our people who are progressing, visiting and serving members, finding new people to teach, helping activate members, inviting people to church, and eating a bunch of completos haha! I love what we've got going on here right now, after each day when we'd be walking home in the dark my companion and I would be so full of joy after a day of hard work and just say "wow, being a missionary is awesome and I love this!" So if any of you are wondering how I'm liking being a missionary right now, I'm absolutely loving it and trying to enjoy every moment!  My spiritual thought this week is the importance to "Think Celestial...

Easter and Conference (April 8, 2024)

Image
Buenas tardes a todos!! How is everyone doing?? I hope you all had a great Easter and were able to enjoy and learn a lot from conference! Things have been awesome down here in San Javier lately! I'll do my best to give a little update! So last Monday we went to a waterfall close to Constitucion and it was amazing! It was a really pretty hike and the place literally looked like the waters of Mormon! It was so sweet, but I had no internet and didn't get an email in last week. That's my bad and I'm really sorry! I've really enjoyed getting to see new places in my time here in Chile, I love all of the cool adventures that I've had here and I hope I can get some more here in the next 2 months! Ok as far as the work goes here in my area, things are really good! This week we pretty much stopped teaching everyone who hasn't been coming to church and we've committed to find and teach people who are willing to progress and be baptized right now! It took a lot of f...
